Together, this Springfield Wagon box and Charter Oak gear represent one of the best preserved examples of a vintage high-wheeled wagon.  To some, the combination of different branded pieces may seem unusual.  However, many early wagon dealers sold several different wagon brands and it was not uncommon to see them occasionally mixing the brands - especially if the box or gear desired was not in stock but could be substituted by one that was available.  Certainly, farmers and ranchers would mix and match as situations demanded.  With the added rarity of selling dealer paint stenciling still clearly visible inside the box and significant paint and logos remaining on both the box and gear, this combination is truly another 'Rare Find.'  For more details - including availability of this exceptional piece - contact Kathy Christensen at info@midwestbuggy.com
